I looked into hypnoBirthing thing because my second baby came so fast that I wasn't able to get any pain meds and this time around I wanted to know how to control the pain that would come with labor.
I took the class and had a lot of fear from my last delivery, but through the fear release and knowing I did it natural once, I told myself I could do it.

The time came when I knew labor was going to start within the day and I won't lie I was nervous about what's to come. The waves came and I knew it was on. I took a bath and listened to the relaxation monologue that comes with the book. While I was listening I wondered why I hadn't listen earlier. I love this one. We waited a while before we went to the hospital.
Once I got there my husband told the nurses what the plan was and they were very willing to let us do what we needed. I did have to have an IV so I could have antibiotics, but I was able to move around after I got my first dose.
The Dr came in and told the nurses I didn't look like I was in labor. I knew it wouldn't be long because I made up my mind we were going to do this. My dad came to see me while I was listening to the relaxation monologue again and I had a few minutes of panic but he and my husband told me I could do this and I had to calm myself and say it was ok.
They checked me and told me if I want pain meds now was the time. I thought about it but said no. The waves were strong and longer. I remember it being hot during them and uncomfortable but not bad. I asked if they could check me because I felt like things were going to happen soon, as the nurse was putting into the computer that I was at a nine, I was having a wave and I knew my little man was on his way. She called for the other nurse and the Dr to come in and when they got in there I was crowing. I did push and before I knew it he was here. The last few minutes were the hardest, but I knew it was almost over. We didn't cut the core right away and once they did they placed Eli on my belly. What a sweet feeling that is!
I was also able to breastfeed shortly after they cleaned him up. Mom was feeling good and baby was happy. I was so glad that I had a way to control "the pain". What a wonderful day it was and so glad we were both doing well.
